Outreach

A systems thinking workshop for teachers during the Touch Tomorrow event at WPI in 2018. The workshop was prepared and delivered jointly with the WPI Teacher Preparation Program. As if a prophecy, we demonstrated how to create STEM curriculum around students building a computer model of an epidemic.

I serve as the Campus Coordinator and a Coach for DynamiQueST, which is an interactive System Dynamics fair for high school students that has been held annually at WPI for several years. It is organized in collaboration with an educational non-profit Creative Learning Exchange and many teachers in the New England area.

In 2014, I was Lead Faculty during the ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp (EMBHSSC) at WPI. It was a two-week residential camp funded by The Harris Foundation and the ExxonMobil Foundation that provided about 50 middle school students the opportunity to immerse in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) projects while living on the college campus – at no cost to the families.
